HOLIDAY INN HARRISBURG/HERSHEY ANNOUNCES $1.6 M EXPANSION

The Holiday Inn, Harrisburg Hershey, owned by Milestone Hospitality International whose operations offices are located in New York, NY and Boca Raton, FL is planning the Grand Opening of their new 11,000 square foot addition. The $1.6M expansion project is scheduled to open in January of 2003 and includes a second ballroom, kitchen expansion, five guestrooms, and increased parking facilities. The ballroom, named the Majestic, will accommodate groups of up to 500 people. The design will complement and enhance the property by allowing more flexible meeting and banquet space totaling over 20,000 square feet. Randall Stuart, Director of Sales and Marketing said, "It is critical to continually update the hotel. As a full service facility, we focus on both the group and leisure markets. In today's competitive environment we pride ourselves in providing our customers with meeting, banquet, leisure dining and sleeping accommodations that are second to none." A ribbon cutting grand opening ceremony is set for January 3, 2003.

The Holiday Inn Harrisburg/Hershey, which was built in 1975, is owned by Milestone Hotel Partners, which operates the property under its management company, Milestone Hospitality International. The firm operates 14 hotels in 6 states including the Silver Spring Hilton, Silver Spring, MD; The Best Western Hershey, Hershey, PA; The Best Western, Utica, NY; The Holiday Inn, New Hartford, NY; The Microtel, Sulphur, LA; The Holiday Inn, Deland, FL; The Days Inn, Fort Lauderdale, FL; The Days Inn, Tampa, FL; The Days Inn, Fort Myers, FL; and a consortium of 4 Days Inn properties in Frankfort, Shepherdsville/Louisville, and Fort Wright/Cincinnati, KY.
